There has been more change in the Middle East since early 2011 than probably at any given period since the 1960s. To make sense of this changing landscape, I've compiled a new information hub that will follow the latest developments in countries topping the news headlines: Current Situation in the Middle East.
The idea is to have a page that acts as a first port of call for the site, with brief information on people in power, political systems, and the latest developments. Along with links to my latest articles, every Monday I will upload a weekly round-up of media reports and analysis: Weekly Reading List 23-29 July 2012.
The information hub will also lead to full-page profiles of Middle Eastern countries. I am starting with Syria, the country currently at the center of world's attention: read more on the Current Situation in Syria.
